This is way better than the Double Eagle, but the Double Eagle was aimed at the market of those that liked the 1911, but wanted a DA/SA one (since that was all the rage then), and this can't pass for a 1911 design. We know there wasn't really a market like that, but Colt thought there was one. The All-American 2000 instead was only an ugly and poorly made attempt at entering into the polymer, striker-fired, guns market.
