@pregno1421 Civil wars are not clean things. Fascists did A LOT to be hated, from daily petty acts of prevarication to tortures, summary executions and selling their countrymen to nazis. It would be silly to pretend that those acts should not have produced any act of retaliation. Really the redde rationem, in Italy, had been A LOT less violent for the fascists and collaborationists than elsewere (IE in France). Italian fascists should thank God that their enemies were SO equanimous.

@doraran5158 It's not splitting hairs, it's an information. Mussolini was not "the former head of the Italian Socialist Party" (you didn't write "that segment", you wrote "the Italian socialist party", that has a precise meaning) but the director of a Socialist journal that was kicked out of the Socialist party as soon as he adopted an interventionist position for Italy in WWI. The study of history is based on correct informations. One can accept the information and thank for it, or whine because he preferred the wrong one he believed before. The rest, as said, is a political rant I'm not interested in.

Dock None Err... No. Despite the Italian Partisans being communists for more than 2/3, the CLNAI was managed on strictly equal basis by the four major groups (Communists, Socialists, Catholics and the Partito d'Azione), since the objective was to get rid of the fascists and the Germans.

Only fascists.

@pierluigiadreani2159 According to what sources, please? Not by distrust, but internet made possible to everyone to pull some number out of his ass.

Mussolini loved only himself.

@doraran5158 Mussolini was not "the head" of the Socialist party. He was not even a high executive. He was the director of a socialist newspaper.

@doraran5158 You wrote: "Mussolini was the former head of the Italian Socialist Party". "The head" means the most important leader. The one in command. He was not. He countred for something but was not "the head" by any means. When he adopted an interventionist position for Italy in WWI, he was kicked out of the party. The political rant is not of my interest, sorry.

@doraran5158 Fact is that your clutching at straws is really funny. Simply you wrote: "Mussolini was the former head of the Italian Socialist Party". Not "one leader", "one important figure" or equivalent expressions but "THE HEAD". Simply he wasn't. He was the director of a Socialist journal that was kicked out of the Socialist party as soon as he adopted an interventionist position for Italy in WWI. The study of history is based on correct informations. One can accept the information and thank for it, or childshly clutching at straws because he doesn't want to admit he was wrong. The rest of your message is just unnecessary piling of well known crap to avoid the point.

@doraran5158 I'm someone that gave you an information. You could thank for it, or even ignore it. You preferred to childishly try to demonstrate that you were not wrong in saying "Mussolini was the former head of the Italian Socialist Party" (he was not. He was the director of a socialist newspaper that was kicked out of the Socialist party as soon as he adopted an interventionist position for Italy in WWI). Now, obviously you resort to insults, in the futile hope that they give more strenght to your flawed position. The head of a newspaper is the head of a newspaper, not the head of a party. It's really funny you prefer to look like someone unable to discern tne difference instead of admitting of having been wrong.

It's the simplest way a strip fed MG can work The same bolt that pushes the case into the chamber, pull it out of it and back into the strip. It had several advantages. In respect to other strip fed MGs there was only an ejection port (not two, one for the cases and one for the strip) so the action was more closed. In respect to magazine fed MGs, the reload is faster (you don't have to detach the empty magazine), in respect to belt fed MGs, there are no dead times to change belt and the strip present the cartridges more accurately, so jammings are less likely.
