  1. For what it does it's simply bloated and overweight. What's offensive in this handgun is that they still had the Colt 1971 prototypes floating around, that only needed a decocker and a threated barrel to be a much superior pistol. Why they chose to use the Double Eagle trigger group, that was notoriously flimsy and prone to breakages (it was simply a mass produced Seecamp 1911 double action conversion, so an aftertought, for how much well conceived) for a pistol destined to high round counts is beyond me.

  2. Yeah. The SSP only needed a decocker and a threaded barrel to be perfect for the job.
