  7. If countries like the UK are refusing to allow ANY flight from ANY aircraft or carrier to leave Egypt bound for the UK you can be sure the UK government KNOW something and that cannot be structural failure on one airliner type.TheCactus

QuantumWrench Yes, that flight was expected to check in at Larnaca air traffic control on Cyprus enroute, it didnt and it vanished from radar, that was the first sign there was anything wrong, there were no requests from the crew. I was at Larnaca on Saturday morning and had to board my aircraft just after hearing the news but it wasn't made public for a few hours.

  11. I knew our route so felt quite safe..... It wasn't over the Sinai. But yeah, it was very sad, I feel for the families. Airliners rarely break up mid air for no reason so we suspected something nasty right from the start, I am not sure there is more bad news this year than there has been in previous years, I just think that news is more readily available now and much more quickly  thanks to social media and the WWW, news travels awfully fast these days and everyone has the world at their fingertips in their smartphones.   12. The US corporate news outlets have become corrupt. They are no different from any other countries agencies to be fair, nobody comes out smelling of Roses! I look at different sources for news, mainstream AND independent, the world over but I dont bother with the state controlled crap in Russia like RT dot com etc., they are no better than FAUX. Some middle east countries really do have some excellent news media I go there often for example.QuantumWrench
