Personally , I think 'Trump's action is more of his / GOP " maximum pressure" policy, I believe Trump wants Iran to come crawling back to the table to concede its ballistic missile program and make guarantees extending beyond the 15 and 25 year Treaty thresholds. I don't think anybody in the US Establishment really wants to go to war against Iran with boots on the ground. "Maximum political pressure", "Maximum concessions". The difficulty with that policy is if Iran doesn't blink, it creates dangerous hair trigger brinkmanship, but don't be surprised if Iran quietly decides to shelve its long range ballistic missile program.. Watch this space.

  3. Cenk those are the sum of your fears , I agree they scare the crap out of me too, however the "Maximum pressure" policy could be at play here. Apply pressure, Iran tweaks the deal , maybe halting its long range ballistic missile program in lieu of a continued deal it could be what the Neo Cons want to happen , they can call it a "victory" , unfortunately they don't understand that individual national requirements or geopolitical needs differ from region to region /country by country. They think every country is like North Korea and will acquiess, that happened because of the Chinese. With Iran it's a long shot.
