@robertdebrus3732 No, there are plenty of T90As in Ukraine and T-90M. They have their turrets blown off the same as T-72, "It seems Dimitry, you are having trouble with your Shtora."

Either way that is a tank kill.

@stephenhumphrey7935 I agree with you sir, the T-72 B3 is as good as the T90A in many ways and from what I have been seeing, the Shtora system does not seem to be making any difference.

A T-72 round will still kill an M1 or a Chally at the right range.

Merkava 4 any day of the week fitted with Trophy APS.

Yeah those were tactics through arrogance, the Russsians did not respect the UKR military and did not cover their column flanks or support their armour properly with infantry, they got their clocks cleaned by the UKR military. Now in the Donbas, the Russians are back to Army 101 tactics but still suffering huge losses because the UKR military has been training for this offensive for 8 years.

@ДмитрийСвергин You mean in your shit 3 day special operation?
1
Yes it tries to swallow the loaders arm.

Nope, even T90s are getting opened up like sardine cans in Ukraine.

@Itried20takennames In simple terms, the Russians did not expect to be battered with NLAW and Javelin.

@superwout None of those systems can counter a top down Javelin. For hard kill those systems would have to shoot upwards and outwards, thus killing your supporting infantry, which is why the projectiles fire upwards and explode downwards. As for soft kill systems, they cannot elevate high enough to influence the Javelin seeker, or even detect the missile that is the current hypothesis. They have relied on their ERA and base armour, although Shtora has been seen it doesnt seem to work very well. As for the 3rd gen system on Armata, it faces the same contraints as the other systems. Since the sanctions, unless they have previously bought a lot of stock, the western components of its FC system will be cut off so not much chance of seeing many new T-14s unless they can sourceand integrate components from China.

@jonathanpfeffer3716 No matter the system, any hard kill is always limited by the need to not kill supporting infantry close to your tank. Thats the kicker for these system`s capability.
