Also, he did not ban Chinese American citizens from returning which is understandable, what is unconscionable is those returnees were not quarantined on their return, free to spread the infection into hubs like New York. Then Trump pretended Covid did not exist and downplayed it for months until the death toll forced him to back pedal? Except he did not. Well, any ordinary amoeba with half a brain would have taken the opportunity to enact national measures to control the R rate but not Trump. Even though he contracted Covid himself and allowed it spread to his own family he did nothing. Do you know why? It is because Trump wanted to get re-elected and did not want the deaths of two hundred thousand Americans getting in the way. That is politics and you should be ashamed for supporting that murdering asshole, not voting for him.

People are spurred to action by singular events all over the world, your suggestion that only holds for Americans is wholly illogical. If people weighed every facet of any issue before they took action literally nothing would ever change for better or worse and you’d have stagnation. That literally doesn’t happen anywhere. The indisputable fact is the death of George Floyd helped trigger an uptick in pro Dem registrations. The timeline is an exact match. Stacey Adam’s was also instrumental in expanding voter registrations. People don’t have to share your rationale for taking sides in an issue.
