Actual truth: cutting rates to take out more debt used to pay interest on current debt. China actually has debt instruments that exist solely to pay interest on current debt - pure insanity. We should have our carrier groups encircle China's military exercise and just destroy them.

@williamweiler236 I would love for us to destroy the PLA now, their military is garbage - only 60% is funded by the CCP with no audit rights. Between Ukraine's destruction of the Russian military and the US Navy's dismantling of China's offensive capabilities we would have a much safer decades or so. Plus after the pandemic and all around scummy behavior destroying the CCP and Putin would be a godsend to western civilization. I would love to see the Fed Fund rate over 5% and a reshoring of jobs across the western hegemony during this decade - let China and Russia suffer through internal strife and civil war. Drain equity markets to actually reflect the real economy, let zombie bonds die, and encourage a culture of saving as higher rates lead to high return. This would spur healthy margin / credit - and close the wealth gap, while weakening western oligarchs.
