@hbattagl The populations of countries differs greatly, for instance the UK has 66 million people and it is a small country and New Zealand has just over 4 million. I would imagine this Coronavirus is easier to deal with in countries with a small population.

@jgmediting7770 On the 31st of January 2 Chinese Nationals staying at a hotel in York were the first 2 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the UK, not exactly Pandemic levels.

I was watching a Sky News report about how America are coping with Coronavirus and a medical person wearing a protective hat, apron, mask and what looked like one glove walked up to a policeman and gave him a big hug. Then they wonder how people get infected.

@Qam001 Yes there are more than a few Labour MP's who are multi millionaires, Jeremy Corbyn for one, he is worth an estimated £3 million and Keir Starmer is worth an estimated £3 to £4 million. Also at present the basic yearly salary for all MP's is £79,468.00 and this does not include their expenses.

@garsm2290 The World Health Organisation (WHO) have admitted mistakes were made when they declared the Coronavirus risk as "moderate", they officially declared the virus a Pandemic on the 11th of March. Also Italy stopped all flights from China on the 31st of January and it made no difference. The first 2 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the UK were 2 Chinese Nationals staying in a hotel in York, not exactly cause for alarm. To be honest I think the Government have done a good job considering.

@garsm2290 I think the population of a country can make a difference in how the virus spreads, for example Ireland has a population of just under 5 million and the UK has a population of 66 million.

@Soph149 Maybe it's because Priti Patel is fed up with reporters who don't want to acknowledge or want to believe that 742 million pieces of PPE equipment has already been delivered. It is the same with Sky News who have now turned their attention to Care Homes and a supposed lack of PPE, a Sky News reporter asked this woman from a Care home "are you saying that you have no PPE" and the woman replied "well about 10 days ago we had a delivery of about 300 masks", the Sky news reporter actually looked disappointed.

@Soph149 How do you know if these health workers have died through catching Coronavirus through lack of PPE? For example a midwife has just died of Coronavirus and yet all the other Midwives working at the same Hospital and obviously having contact with her have so far not caught Coronavirus

@Soph149 All governments around the world prepare for Pandemics, this is why the UK government was prepared. Also what about some medical personal not following proper Procedures?. There was an amusing moment on Sky News where they were reporting from America and how they were coping with Coronavirus when a man wearing protective clothing including a hat, mask, full apron and for some reason one glove, walked up to a police officer and gave him a big hug. People then wonder how they get this virus.
