  2. The US should have been charging a seaway fee to the insurance companies that insure these vessels and use that money to fund a portion of its Navy. Instead the US taxpayers have footed the bill for the worlds protection of the sea lanes for nearly 80 years. Yes, the US citizens received some value for this effort, but the rest of the world received most of it.

  3.  @kevtall9012  I remember the comment, but I think they were just driving in a car at the beginning of the twilight zone movie. The driver asked the passenger if he wants to see something scary, and then turned off the lights and drove down the road in complete darkness for a few seconds. Afterwords the passenger said, ‘Wanna see something really scary’. Either way that’s a great quote and that was a great same and it’s also applicable for what’s about to happen around the world.
