  1. ⁠ @abr00ky Are you kidding? The EU is a dumpster fire and every country in it is being consumed. A UK alliance with the US would be much better for the UK citizens. Among other things, the sheer distance between the US and the UK would enable the UK to maintain its distinct culture and way of life. But beyond that, the US still seeks an ally and a trading partner from the UK, whereas the vision of the EU has always been to run the block like a single country out of Brussels.
