Ukraine cannot win a war of attrition with Russia. Even if the West gave them all the weapons they wanted, they don’t have the people to win a multi-year protracted ground war against Russia. Last summer showed that Ukraine cannot push Russia out of the currently occupied territory. Best case, in my view, is an external event outside of the theatre that brings an end to hostilities. It is very unlikely that Russia will cede the territory they’ve gained. It would be the end of Putin if he doesn’t have something to show for the lives and money spent.
