  1. There are some byproducts to be rendered from sour, but nothing needed in large volume. Light sweet is still preferred over heavy sours because they are much cheaper to refine.

  4.  @gzsprout  Biden caused the prices to go up in the first place, by hamstringing the US O&G industry. The SORs are not to be used as a political lever. Also they had a chance to refill the SORs when the price low, but didn’t. Cluster-Fvck all around.
