Imagine putting graham crackers in curry...! Perhaps, a new bread pudding recipe

do you feel that way because of these new digital assets being given some legitimacy by some known investors or popular people? It feels a bit like a conundrum, with parallels to historical events, and yet a new arena full of uncharted territory too...

Now if it was farm land, who needs anything else if you can subsist on it forever?
3
Yes, but some might say be careful in what you invest :)

Ray Dalio is awesome. Have you read his Principles?

@ebitdareadthebook1535 Not too deep at all! Besides, Munger influenced Buffett to evolve from Graham. I am curious as to which are the real rates above which Fed target rates? I imagine the Fed is tracking PCE for inflation. What am I missing? I am also curious as to how one would take advantage of CDS as a retail investor? I agree that corporate debt is putting things in a precarious situation, it feels like there's too much liquidity and I wonder for how long businesses will stay solvent?

@ebitdareadthebook1535 Funny I actually interpreted as if you were originally talking about "Ben Graham" in your previous deeper dive comment! My bad! Now I understand you're referring to contents here. Well, I'd imagine the comfort zone of the person whom we're speaking about is aligned well to the majority of the audience as it does draw significant attention/interest. I think it also depends on how many people have discovered what their investing style or preference really is. Many are fluid in this regard. :)
2
how do you think he has grown since that point in time?

Gamestop might take offense to playing second fiddle to bitcoin, or being in the bond-like category. Though, bitcoin does win the volatility race!

Smooth, silky, like Swiss Miss meets Smores!

Oh that would be an interesting video topic, the tax implications of owning and selling bitcoin!
2
that is actually a brilliant idea
2
Then isn't the answer to stay solvent while the markets are behaving irrationally?

I admire you starting your channel too and wanting to help people in this field! Good on ya! I'm also trying to do the same with my channel :)

Agreed! He should put together his Greatest Hits!

Haha or smash the Jigglypuffs off the platform (Smash Bros)

Imagine explaining new asset class types to Grandma... please let me know if yours buys into any cryptocurrencies! Good for you in starting a YouTube channel too in this field, I am with ya! I'm trying to encourage people to become the best investors they can be through Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger's teachings. I wish you well on your financial journey! :)

Yes, just like Pavlovian conditioning :)

Cryptos may want to consider licensing McDonald's "Do You Believe in Magic" Commercial 1992 song

that would be hilarious I agree!!

What do you define as safe investment? ETFs are akin to index funds, which are a subset of mutual funds. Many people tend to think of mutual funds as "actively managed" by professional fund managers, and you can tell when they have high expense ratio fees. Index funds are often considered "passively managed" as they simply track the index and tend to have low expense ratio fees. Many ETFs do what index funds do, but def be sure to check out the fees. People like Warren Buffett say you can just buy the S&P 500 index if you want to bet on the future of America, but he also happens to favor investing in individual companies.

Graham's next YouTube video title "YOLO BITCOIN" perhaps

Could a blockchain version of the US dollar become that reserve currency in lieu of something the government doesn't control?

I would do that. I love carrots and Bugs Bunny!

Love the Broncos!!! I miss Peyton.

Is there an endgame to the paradigm shift? Is bitcoin akin to NFTs, akin to buying works of art as a store of value?
1
@floridaboyfinance I am forever a student :)

I hear ya. I created a video about how we might have a recession by late 2022 or by 2023, perhaps when interest rates go up. The debt will come due at some point and interest payment pain with it.
1
haha nice

Because it's a much lighter subject and indefatigably easier to play around with. 60/40 sounds like boomer speak, where everyone's eyes glaze over the moment the word "bond" is uttered as an ancient relic of the 1980s. Perhaps replacing that tired asset class with something shiny and new will captivate imaginations and dreams of a better future. :)
1
Does Wealthfront recommend investing in bitcoin too and I wonder if their tools incorporate a bitcoin asset allocation? :P
1
I'm curious if you would not mind elaborating :)

@ebitdareadthebook1535 Wow awesome!! Do you agree with Ray that we're in the "problem part" of the current market and macroeconomic cycle?
