  2. As a male, I agree with you. Do keep in mind, however, that "women" are not a monolith; the daily life of a white Western women is absolutely in no way comparable to the plight that a black woman who lives in the Third World faces on a daily basis. I'm a bit disillusioned with Ted myself on that particular point: The talks typically feature a Western woman speaking for women in the Third World. This is not unlike allowing a banker to represent the Occupy protestors in a public forum.
