  1. Russia will (certainly should) insist on ITS price for energy exports. If EU countries want to cap prices, it will have to be down the line at consumer outlets, with the various governments making up the shortfall for Russia that will, in turn, create more inflation.

  2. Biden's manufactured war against Ukraine (versus Putin's invasion of Ukraine) is, in my view, more of a driver of the catapulting inflation than conservative and liberal neocons are attempting to make out.
