The latest news about Svalbard is extremely troubling. Celia Blomdahl, a Norwegian who lives in Svalbard, has a very popular YouTube channel about life in Longyearbyen, the village in Svalbard. A place of amazing beauty, albeit w/ harsh winter weather. She has featured the Russian village, Barentsburg. The main industry in both Longyearbyen and Barentsburg is tourism - coal mining, a historical past. Barentsburg is interesting because of the history of its soviet past. Now it has tours to see the historical buildings, walkway to the mine, and great restaurants. Longyearbyen is fascinating, because every benefit of modern life is available there - so surprising in a place so close to the North Pole.
Blocking supplies to the people in Barentsburg is beyond EVIL. What on earth has happened to the collective West that it so easily destroys people's lives, including death in Ukraine, for a manufactured war to tear Russia and Russians apart for MIC profits and potential to plunder resources. This Western aggression is really SICK. Decent people must start vocally and loudly standing up against it.

One of the very troubling aspects of the West's manufactured war in Ukraine, using Ukrainian conscripts as fodder to be killed in their evil war, is the large number of women involved at the centre of Western aggression. Among the most egregious: Victoria Nuland, Ursula von der Leyen, Hillary Clinton (boss of Sullivan), not to forget one of the most chilling, Liz Truss, Boris Johnson's own foreign secretary. Her abominable behavior in her meeting with Sergey Lavrov was a trigger. Lavrov was disgusted by her. It all played out before our eyes on the internet. Within days after that meeting, Putin recognized Donetsk and Luhansk and created his SMO after those states asked for Russia's help to end the eight-year, Ukrainian genocide against them. Her aggressive threats finally confirmed to Russia that diplomatic negotiations were not on the West's agenda.
LOL, good for Maria Zakharova!
