  1. My family left when Stalin came to power and I remember hearing stories about what a nightmare is was when I was a child. They left with nothing and managed to make a good life in the US. Like you, they helped other refugees who came after them and I respect you for being willing to help. Hope you get through this alright no matter how it plays out.

  2.  @xotleti  if they hqd stayed they might have died in the Holodomor when Stalin stole Ukraine's grain and let millions die of starvation. So much cruelty at that time.
