They need to put power transmission lines underground like they do where I live.

Putin is engaging in a hybrid war all over Europe and especially former Soviet colonies. It's not clear that membership in NATO would solve the problem. Members like Hungary might block a NATO response despite article 5
3
Putin's army is destroying everything they can with artillery bombardment because they are going to run out of infantry willing to fight. Ukraine can and will take back their country. Slava Ukraini!
2
I would drink too if I was being led to my death and there is no doubt most of them will die.
2
@reubenj.cogburn8546 I heard an American general who thinks the Russians will "culminate" within 10 days but I'm not sure if enough weapons will get through (and training of the Ukrainians) in time. Does not look good right now.
2
Nothing about this war makes much sense to me. I remember every war since Vietnam and it was clear what both sides were driving at and how they were going about it but not this one. I can only assume there is a lot going on we just do see. Slava Ukraini!
2
Ukrainian government: IMHO any peace deal has to include "pre-war boundaries" except maybe most of Donbas. The West will relate to the idea of pre-war boundaries. Putin has to get something or he won't leave so you may have to let of most of Donbas region. And we can see you don't need NATO as long as the West provides weapons so you don't really lose anything by giving up on that. I hope you can push the Russians back so they are forced to make a deal. Slava Ukraini!
2
The west needs to ramp up support immediately. It's now or never. Ukraine needs to push out Putin's army as fast as they can. This is a dangerous development.
2
Please don't blame them for asking. They are fighting for their lives, freedom, democracy. We know the West isn't going to set up a no-fly zone but they are desperate. Just imagine how you would feel if bombs were exploding all around you
2
@eh1702 you are probably right from a tactical point of view. But strategy in this war has to include the perceptions of the West. Evacuation of Mariupol by Ukraine would be viewed as heroic and likely increase support for Ukraine. I know it sounds cynical but I'm really worried the West will lose interest and forget this is a fight for a free world.
2
Paid Putin trolls are busy today. They are complicit in the crimes of Putin's army.
2
Ukraine is going to slaughter those mobilized troops as fast as they arrive. Unbelievable that Putin would sacrifice his own people for his insane obsession with Ukraine. And if he drops a nuke US and NATO forces are going to push his army all the way out of Ukraine. So much loss of life for an inevitable outcome. Putin is pure evil, no other way to describe him.
2
Ukraine needs weapons that can destroy Putin's naval forces. If the West wants Ukraine
2
How much is Putin paying you to troll this channel ?
2
It's time for Ukraine to start attacking airfields and launch pads in Russia. Putin is destroying Ukraine from the safety of Russia because the cowards can't win on the battlefield. Slava Ukraini!
2
Covert influence campaigns, subversion, and infiltration are just as dangerous as military conflict. The free world needs to wake up and understand Russia and China are already at war with the free world.
2
You need to be thinking about asymmetric warfare. Infiltrate captured cities and do some damage, inflict some hurt on the Russian puppets and collaborators they put in charge. Use some of those Molotov cocktails you've been making. Force them to divert more troops hold captured territory. Look at the Iraq occupation for examples.
2
Putin just couldn't allow a successful free democratic country to make his own people wonder why they couldn't be successful too. Success in Ukraine is necessary to bring Putin down once and for all. Slava Ukraini!
2
I don't understand why that huge convoy hasn't been attacked. They are just sitting there. Think outside the box. I came up with half dozen crazy ideas that might work. Maybe I'm just being naive and I don't know the practical realities. It's just so frustrating to watch
2
It's a good start. Eventually Ukraine will have to produce most of its weapons by themselves.
2
Got a good laugh on that one 🤣
2
I disagree on one point. I think the war will end if Putin is removed from power. His obsession with Ukraine is probably not shared with the oligarchs
2
They've been doing this for centuries. Looting and pillaging, replacing native populations with Russians. Barbarian conquerors.
2
Land for peace wont work. Remember Hitler and Sudetenland
2
Ukraine is doing well on the battlefield, now just hope they succeed at the negotiating table. Slava Ukraini!
2
Russia has access to the Black Sea through ports it controls on Russian territory. See map for details.
2
Where are they going to keep tens of thousands of these people? I sure hope some humanitarian organizations are going to help take care of them. And even if they wanted to deport them what country would take them? This situation is absurd.
2
Lancaster is a paid Putin troll. It's all propaganda
2
@tonymaries1652 the reality is Putin has to come away from this with something to show for it. The separatist regions have always been problematic for Ukraine and Crimea is already lost. I get your point about self-determination but what other choice is there?
2
Another reason to take back Donbas - Ukraine will make quality products there, Russia would just crush the people under tyranny and steal everything for the oligarchs.
2
@mickowens9839 if you support Putin then go ahead and watch his videos. It will confirm what you already believe.
2
Finally! This is great news. Slava Ukraini!
2
This is what Russians do when the conquer territory. Kill or imprison all opposition, deprive the locals of resources, relocate the native population and replace them with Russians. They have been doing this for centuries. Historical fact.
2
Agree
2
@bleachcoughdrops8299 so it's ok for Putin to massacre civilians because they wanted to associate with Europe?
1
Freedom is a universal human right. Ukraine fights for all of us.
1
This is Putin's preferred method of taking control. Infiltration, covert influence campaigns, destabilization, and takeover from within. Ukraine knows this all too well.
1
I dont think the West understands the consequences of letting Putin win. He intends genocide. There really isn't anything to "negotiate" about.
1
Brilliant! Wonder how many people are thinking about how they can capture equipment and walk away with a down payment on a house (or a full payment if you can get one of the big pieces). If I thought I could pull it off I think I would take the risk. Or get shot and die. Perhaps not such a good idea for me 😒
1
@adamhayes5349 finally! Thank you
1
It would be reasonable to change draft age, but only if Ukraine has all the weapons it needs.
1
@mirulmarcoba8976 it's hard to imagine that Ukraine would accept neutrality now that Putin is trying to destroy them. Ukraine was a peaceful European country. They wanted to align with Europe out of fear of being attacked and that is exactly what happened. We can't ask them to trust that they will be safe from Putin's obsession with restoring the Russian empire. The most you can ask from Ukraine is to give up some territory which is probably what will happen.
1
Taking back Mariupol would be a powerful boost to morale both at home and abroad. If there is any way you can do this without excessive losses it would definitely be worth it. People in the West would view it as not only a military victory but also as an act of compassion for the people trapped in that city.
1
@mirulmarcoba8976 shared values, free market, cultural bonds, freedom, democracy. I think they see nations of the free world as what they would like for themselves and the future of their children.
1
@bleachcoughdrops8299 the Baltic states joined NATO to prevent Putin from attacking and now they are safe. Putin feels free to attack any of it's neighbors (and it has done it to many of them). Neutrality makes them vulnerable. If your powerful neighbor wants your property you better have some powerful friends to help you
1
Laughed when I read that 🤣
1
I support you with all my heart but you have to work on your media strategy. The no-fly zone is not going to happen. Real or perceived, the danger of nuclear war is just too much for anyone to accept. I wish it would happen but it won't. I know you are in a fight for your lives but you need to focus on realistic goals. Also be careful not to offend the "woke" contingent - they have a lot of influence. So much more to say... Just pay attention to how everything you say will be perceived.
1
Putin's army are like ancient barbarians with their looting and pillaging. They are not soldiers, they are something else entirely.
1
@billglobalrc5384 I've been watching some YouTube from India and was surprised to find they don't like the West very much. I always thought they were firmly in the camp of the free world. I think a side-effect of this war is a huge lesson in geopolitics for a lot of us. I suppose something like this happened to us during WW2 because we were pretty isolated then too.
1
True!
