Neither Finland or Sweden or NATO would initiate an attack on Russia. Defensive capability is the only relevant issue.

Most detailed report I've seen. Nice work π

Excellent, detail I haven't seen anywhere else. Your videos let me recalibrate my understanding of the war. Thank you for all the work it must take to put this together.

Quoting Clausewitz now. Getting deep Cappy. I like the variety you put out. Weapons detail, geopolitics, it's all good. Never boring. π
37
Thanks! I admire you for handling polarizing subjects so well. Well done π
23
Sad but true.
14
Interesting. I knew they were committing these crimes, but I didn't know what motivated them besides the exercise of absolute control over the people.
13
It was a very long time ago, but my clearest memory of time in the army was bullets flying over my head. But even more clear was when I was in Israel (not in their army) and a fighter jet flew so close to the ground the building I was in shook like an 8.0 earthquake.
10
That was excellent. I've been wondering what's been going on between the US and Saudis. Thanks π

Why did the US ever support Pakistan? Should have supported democratic India. Stupid move.
8
I used to work for Hughes Ground Systems where a variety of military equipment was designed and I always wondered if we sent people out to war zones to find out how our products performed in the field under actual battle conditions. I suppose we will never know but it wouldn't surprise me if there were hundreds of engineers out there taking notes π
7
Great topic. Good background material, comprehensive coverage. Your analysis is excellent. Maybe because I agree with you π
7
Best explanation I've heard and I've watched several videos on the topic. Good work π
6
Your work is always thorough and well prepared. I've been impressed with this since channel I first subscribed a year ago. Well done π

I thought China could get all the oil it needs at cheap prices from Russia
5
Excellent review! Thank you!
5
Not because you're 38. I'm a lot older than that, and I've seen strange shortages I never saw before.
4
That was really interesting. Haven't seen the topic covered as well as this video. Well done. More like this π
4
Accurate statement π
4
Same reason no base in Ukraine. Avoiding direct confrontation with superpower.
4
Β @slimjimnyc270Β interesting. I worked on phased array radar for air defense and our systems were far from the front lines so we did have reps on site. But most of the stuff that cappy talks about it on this channel are specifically meant for front line use which is completely different.
4
Gotta get some of these to Ukraine. Would definitely be a game changer. Their pilots are already training for the original F-15 so they should be able to pilot these too with not much additional training.
3
One of your best π
3
It's really an information and influence war now. Whoever has more resources wins. If the free world keeps their promise to stand by Ukraine, they will win. Otherwise, they won't.
3
Good one π

The irony is that the Ukraine war was a wake-up call for the free world. Caused us to ramp up production and pay attention to the threat from China. Cappy is right, the window of opportunity for China is closing. We've got this.
2
An accurate assessment is necessary even if we don't like the conclusion. Would like to hear you speculate about what might actually work against Putin
2
Split evenly
2
Not really, it cost them the moral high ground. I don't support them as much as I did before they failed to support Ukraine right away, and now they are moving in an undemocratic direction.
2
Ukraine has take back Crimea asap. It's now or never. The Donbas can wait. Indefinitely.
2
Not sure about Gaza and the West Bank, but the Golan Heights were kept as a strategic necessity. The terrorists were using it to bomb Israelis at lower elevations. Israel needed the Golan to be in a better position to prevent attack from Syria and Lebanon, mostly from Hezbolla.
2
So are these being deployed in large enough numbers to make a significant difference in Ukraine? I'm not a weapons guy so I'm not well-informed about this stuff but this is the first I've heard of this weapon. Edit: you actually answered this question, please ignore π
2
US depleting stocks was click bait. The only weapons we were low on were infantry anti-tank weapons which aren't really an important part of our system of weaponry. Check out Perun videos for details.
2
If we had decided to send troops to Ukraine there would be a LOT of enlistments.
2
Well said!

I don't think there is any doubt that Russia will eventually defeat the organized Ukrainian military but what interests me is the resistance that will follow. The Afghans succeeded without conventional warfare against the Russians and the Americans. I'm not seeing it yet. No Molotov cocktails being used, no IEDs, and no armed resistance in cities that have been captured, just non-violent demonstrations. No judgement here, just trying to understand. At this point it's not about conventional war, we already know the Russians are committed, no matter how much it depletes their military machine. They real question is whether or not they can hold it after the organized Ukrainian military is defeated.
2
Ukrainians just crossed into bucha - guess those tanks dug in didn't stay long. The outcome of this war entirely depends on what kind and how much weaponry the West provides. We have weapons that could take out Putin's navy. This is what it all comes down to.
2
I'm not sure what the solution is, but I agree Poland is at risk. I hope they succeed in creating a strong defense.
2
Β @clockhandedΒ I follow both of those you mentioned but this channel has so much more detail. I haven't seen anything like that part about exactly what's going on around Kiev. Right down to tank placements and battle lines at the river. I'm like yeah, ok, that clears up a lot for me. Nobody else shows that kind of detail that I'm aware of.
2
@random dudeΒ not so much anymore. Now it's China going after its neighbors like the Borg. Resistance is futile. They will be assimilated.
2
No, this is different, not politics as usual. If Netanyahu succeeds it will fundamentally change how government works in Israel.
2
Russia wouldn't attack Israel directly if it was ever inclined to do so. It would be a proxy war, with Iran and Syria backed by Russia. They would lose, of course, and they probably know that.
2
The NRF is a useful "speed bump" while the free world organizes a response. We have state of the art intelligence now so a "surprise attack" is very unlikely. Just look how long it took for Putin to position his troops and even then he couldn't take Kiev.
2
If the West is only supplying enough weapons and support to maintain parity then the Ukrainians can only win by fighting smarter. They've proven to be very resourceful so far so I think they have a good chance of pushing Putin's army eventually.
2
The few remaining Vietnam vets remember war. But you're right the vast majority of Americans have never known war.
2
I would like see a video about what options the west has if Putin drops a low yield tactical nuke on Ukraine. How do ground troops respond to a tactical nuke?
2
Excellent review. We'll done π
2
Perun is by far the most reliable source. Objective, lists his sources, etc. Very detailed long videos but worth watching all the way through.
2
Seems like the distinction between a tank and an IFV is blurred when an IFV has features you would expect in a tank and vice versa.
