Very glad to include Finland in the alliance. They are very welcome 😊

We could end all of this if we just give Ukraine what it needs to push Putin's army out of Ukraine.

This is probably the most well documented war I can remember (and I remember Vietnam). The evidence of war crimes is overwhelming. Sadly Putin will never get punished for it.

I would vote for him. He is a decent, honest guy. Moderate. Yeah, he's ok.
30
Well done piece of reporting 👏
29
She serves her country well. She sees the situation clearly.
24
I dont think Netanyahu realizes the consequences of going forward with this legislation. It will split apart the Jewish community and leave Israel without the support it depends on to exist. Self-serving religious right is turning Israel into a theocracy.
22
This will not end well for those prisoners. Putin will have them shot or imprisoned for life. Not convinced a prisoner swap will happen. Tragic.
13
@JD83000 then I'm glad I live in the Western bubble because that world is a nightmare.
11
@ishanperusinghe maybe so. Or maybe more Americans need to grow up and start acting like mature adults. We used to have civil conversation with each other and now we see each other as enemies.
10
@theresoluteone I'm not from the UK but from the outside they don't seem to have the kind of hatred between political parties we have in the US. I admire UK democracy and most EU democracies. You don't see any of their political parties trying to take power when they lose an election.
7
Definitely not a certainty. China and Russia are powerful forces against liberal democracy and sometimes it seems like every time a new democracy arises another one slips back onto tyranny. I would agree the odds are still 50/50
7
A lot of us inside and outside of Ukraine believe that freedom and democracy is worth fighting for. And Putin's empty threats shouldn't allow him to extend his tyranny over Ukraine or anywhere else in the free world.
6
Wonder what explains that. Maybe they know happens to collaborators and are terrified of losing so they are especially cruel.
6
Arguing about the legitimacy of an election prevents us from discussing the important issues. Trump and his cult are bringing this country down.
4
If democracy fails in the US the whole world will be effected. I wish Trump had better ratings on his reality show so he never would have gone into politics. It's not clear we can recover from the mess he made of our democracy.
4
Remind me, why is Turkey a member of NATO?
4
@magpiegirl3783 exactly!
4
But it's also about weapons. If the west gave Ukraine the right weapons they would push Putin's army out all the way. Check out Perun's channel for details.
3
Finally Ukraine getting what they need to push Putin's army out
3
What a brutal primitive society. Tragic.

@cherylderue336 France today appears to be a successful democracy with basic freedoms. I've never been to France but from the outside it looks like the actions of the government reflect the will of the people. Could be wrong, no democracy is perfect, but over time it looks to me like France is moving in a positive direction.
3
Surprised so many comments support Putin. There were people who supported Hitler too but stopped once they knew what he was doing. I'd like to think they are all paid Putin trolls but sadly some people actually believe what they say.
3
The free world finally wakes up to the threat of China. Hope it's not too late.
3
Agree. Cut off the head of the snake and the tail will die. Putin has nothing if Ukraine takes back Crimea.
2
So you don't believe Putin has troll farms spreading propaganda? A large majority supports Ukraine, so why so many pro-Putin comments? It doesn't add up.
2
I wonder if China is secretly happy to watch Russia and Western powers fighting it out while they grow stronger. It may look like China and Russia are allies, but they were adversaries once before and could be again. With the war driving Russia into poverty, China can easily absorb them. Resistance is futile, they will be assimilated.
2
All of these comments are basically correct but I wonder if the Ukrainians have a plan to turn this into an advantage. They have shown a lot of ingenuity in this war and I'm sure their military planners have thought this through.
2
They need to fight fire with fire. Track down Putin's agents and stop them before they can act.
2
This was important to Putin. You can tell by all the bots he has working on this. Infiltration, covert influence campaigns, subversion from within. This is the kind of war Putin does well.
2
I work the polls during most elections and I can tell you we have free and fair elections in America. The problem is that Trump didn't like the results so he tried to seize power despite losing. This has never happened before. If we don't condemn this kind of behavior we are going down and probably taking the world down with us.
2
@johnanthonylucock7833 votes count, crowds and mobs do not.
2
Excellent discussion! Important subjects explored very effectively.
2
@johnanthonylucock7833 it's exactly those kinds of lies that are creating the problem. Trump people want to win so bad they will break our democracy to get what they want. They don't care if they destroy the country in order to take power.
2
The brits are really tough on their leaders. It's good to hold them accountable but don't you think they should be given at least a few months before you kick them out?
2
@teggsy2165 yes but how does that help if Turkey and Hungary are allies with Putin? Two autocratic nations with poorly functioning democracy and suppression of the opposition don't seem like good partners. They need to decide if they really want to be a part of the free world or not.
2
Why is Turkey and Hungary in NATO if Erdogan and Orban are allies with Putin? Two autocratic nations with poorly functioning democracies and suppression of the opposition are out sync with the rest of NATO.
2
I'm suspicious of Turkey and Hungary. Why are they so friendly with Putin? Maybe because they are both autocratic with poorly functioning democracies that have found ways to silence opposition just like Putin. It's time to ask why they are in NATO if they don't share our values.
2
Yeah, sacrificing your children for Putin's obsession with empire 😒
2
Lot of comments from paid Putin trolls. Doesn't matter, indoctrination will fail in a world where information flows freely. You can't silence the truth forever although Putin is definitely trying hard to do so.
2
I wonder if the UK and EU countries have reproductive rights. It's shameful that the US allows the religious right to dictate how everyone else must behave 😕
2
The West has to go all in with weapons if they really want Ukraine to push Putin's army out. This slow increase in support is just going to cost more Ukrainian lives. Give them long range weapons so they can cut off supply lines and strike deeper into Russian positions in occupied lands.
2
Yikes! Putin's bots are working overtime. No worries, most of us support Ukraine. The comments are not representative.
2
@ithinkthat Wow. You aren't a troll. You're a conspiracy theorist. 77th brigade? Really? Didn't see that coming 🤣
2
@shamanahaboolist No. Because it is a fact that most people support Ukraine. To pretend otherwise is pure propaganda. It is a lie that Putin wants people to believe. And people that spread those lies to support Putin's genocide against the Ukrainian people are complicit in his crimes.
2
Can't assume Putin will be removed. He has an iron grip on power in Russia. All this speculation is wishful thinking. But I don't see how he can win in Ukraine. Western weapons and Ukrainian effectiveness can defeat anything Putin throws at them. Even mobilization won't help Putin at this point and if he drops a nuke the retaliation will end any chance the Putin will keep any territory.
2
Judging by the comments, Putin has increased the size of his troll farms. He may be struggling on the battlefield, but his supporters are getting better at spreading propaganda and appealing to the self-interest of those who want cheap oil.
2
Putin really expanded his troll farm. Putin's paid trolls are all over the place. He is learning a lot from China.
