  1. The resort I work at requires all of the employees to attend a week long course in responding to an active shooter situation every year. Obviously it's only the security team that engages with a shooter but they wanted us to know what our role should be if an incident ever occurred. A lot of it was confidence building and learning to act quickly without hesitation. Worthwhile training, I think its a good idea.

  2. I've been a poll worker for 15 years and it's getting harder to get volunteers because of all this nonsense. I just wish people would take advantage of our transparency and see for themselves what we do and the dedication of election workers. It's really discouraging when people don't trust the process.

  3. The free world should only defend countries like Ukraine that have proven they are committed to freedom and democracy. No amount of the intervention can help people that aren't ready to join the free world.

  5. Have to accept at face value. Media always chooses images and narratives that support their beliefs and agenda. Doesn't make these photos any less horrific. Just need a healthy dose of skepticism and make sure confirmation bias isn't interfering with getting to the truth.

  6. Glad that law enforcement in my area is fully funded. It's very peaceful here with very little crime. There are good relations between law enforcement and citizens. I can understand why high crime areas might not want police. Every community must decide for itself.

  14. Bitcoin owners spam comments all over YouTube trying to create hype for the ponzi scam it is. When the value dropped recently the comments increased like they were desperate. Crypto has no basis in reality, it's imaginary value. Property, cash, bonds, equity in real companies, those things have real value.

  15.  @DotHacker99  I live on the small amount I get from social security and most of the members of my community are working class people. We vote in elections and choose officials that create the kind of law enforcement we want. Other communities can do the same.

  16.  @DotHacker99  the community is free to decide if they want law enforcement. They are free to choose the criteria for employment and methods of law enforcement. They are free to create a partnership with law enforcement or relate to them as an enemy. I wouldn't live in a community that despise law enforcement. My choice.
