We used to welcome immigrants to this country, they made us better and stronger. Thankfully my ancestors got here over 100 years ago before we shut the door. Even today, most immigrants are among the most hard working and patriotic people in America. We have become zenophobic and intolerant over the years. So sad.

@skyking6989 how do you come in legally if the door is closed? We only allow a very small number of immigrants compared to historical limits. We don't even make is easy for Ukrainian refugees and Russian dissidents to come here and they are seeking asylum from war and tyranny. Farm workers from Mexico that we need to harvest crops can't get in. This is a big country with plenty of opportunity for anyone willing to work for it.

@skyking6989 I don't approve of illegal immigration either, but legal immigration is too restricted. We can simultaneously work to stop illegal immigration and allow more legal immigration at the same time.
