When trump threatens people and the republicans ignor it and explain it away with statements like "that's not what he meant", the bar is lowered. We here we are now when the Democrat does it and republicans cry we can say "that's not the way it was meant". This is why trump is such a bad president. He has made the act of threatening speech towards Americans somehow normal and easily explained away.
