@HellenoBalkan Do the Russians of America want to rejoin Russia? Do the British of Spain want to rejoin the UK? Do the British of Australia want to rejoin the UK? Just because there is an ethnic group there, that doesn't mean they want to "rejoin" their former country. Again; if they do, then A-OK, if not, then you don't get to use them as an excuse to fight a war. Ditto with Montenegro. They themselves stated they see the two countries as separate, but as one people. Just because Austrians and Germans are both...Germans, that doesn't mean they wanna rejoin together. You seem to misunderstand. The US is not going to allow another replay o the Yugoslav Wars and WILL smash any Greek attempt at forcing this. Period. The last thing anyone needs is another genocide attempt or anymore ethnic cleansing.

@HellenoBalkan Ultimately your logic falls back to "was where my ancestors lived"; but several countries consider places they no longer control their de-jure territory. It's stupid logic that belongs in the 19th century, not the 21st. I don't care where your or their ancestors live. Whether the logic is ethnic minority of a different country getting a majority in a territory and suddenly wanting to rejoin their old country, or something else. It's all equally stupid. No, what makes me right is that the people there WANT to do. What you're talking about is using force. That isn't tolerable at all.

@HellenoBalkan I'm pretty sure there isn't any information of any will to rejoin Serbia from Montenegro atm. Srpsla Republicka getting a "simple succession and a small revolution" isn't likely either. North Macedonia has no will to join any confederation under Serbia. Any Greeks mobilizing forces to force the issue are liable to get bombed. This stays at the level of what the peoples there want. If these people WANT to join Serbia, then I'm all for it. If they DON'T, then you have no say in forcing them.

@carllucas89 Croats kicked the Serbs around in the 90's, I think. Without external aid since the US unironically aided the Serbs initially by sanctioning the Croats to prevent them from getting US weapons to stop the war. US learned their mistake a few years later, though.

@OriginalBongoliath "Latin America" isn't a country. Also, those ethnic shifts don't matter compare to the cultural background. Almost all new migrants are Americanized after a few generations and hold little-to-no patriotism for their "old homes".

@unknownname6519 Israel has been attacking Syria constantly the past few years; just not areas where Russia is. And no duh Israel doesn't attack Russia; Israel doesn't want conflict with Russia where it doesn't need it. Israel is not the US, and Russia is weak compared to the US. Greece can get its troops bombed if it attacks, that's up to them. Greece won't do anything precisely because it knows nobody will save them, and if it does seek Russian aid prior, then Greece will isolate itself well from the other EU nations anyway. Maybe give Turkey the green light to do what it wants. If Greece wants to destroy its international connections for Serbia and against Albania, that's all on them.

@unknownname6519 Yes it will if Greeks literally attack a people that the US are protecting; no amount of weapons from a gas station country can protect Greeks from US power. Russia is no equal to the US. Greece will never risk war with the US for Serbs is the better answer. It's not suicidal.

For example, with just a few quick searches, I can find Montenegrin nationalist protests that was against the current government of Montenegro as being a "satellite of Serbia" with protests that totaled 130,000 people over the course of the protests. "In period between September 2020 and end of April 2021, 152 pro-Montenegrin gatherings and protests were registered by the Ministry of Interior Affairs, which involved 130,000 people (21% of Montenegro's population).[26] The 15th anniversary of Montenegrin independence was organized by the citizens' initiative in Ivanova Korita locality, Mount Lovcen National Park. It gathered together 65,000 people, which represents over 10% of the country's population. The same day the biggest Montenegrin flag was revealed (5000 m2 in size)." Meanwhile, I can't find any proof that this..."liturgy" was 80,000 strong at all. For all I know, it wasn't even 10,000. The video, blaring Slavic music, is obviously biased, so I can't take its claim as fact. Do you have a less obviously biased source to convince me that it was even 80,000 people showing up and what the gathering was about?

@mediolanumneminem1417 Nobody gives a shit about how long ago Serbs owned Kosovo land. What matters is today. And Kosovars own the lands today and don't want to be a part of Serbia. Period. End of story.

Those "Turks" are Turkish-Germans though, and have zero interest in splitting the country for Turkey -at most they will support Erdogan, but will not tear apart Germany for him. Seriously, most places have large minority groups, why do you default into thinking they're gonna tear it apart? Nations that have decent minority relations just don't have this issue at all. World never worked this way until Post-WW1.. The Middle Ages had Lords and Ladies rule everything from their ivory towers. That's not national sovereignty. The "nation" wasn't even a concept yet.

@colinafobe2152 That's not how any of this works, wtf? That wouldn't trigger anything like that. None of these countries, peoples, or states are planning to join anyone else. The only "encouragement" that will occur is maybe Spain and Catalonia -but if Catalans want independence than they are intitled to a referendum like everyone else.

Syria had little anti-air defenses now has some; but Israel being more cautious doesn't equate to Russian tech being good -it means that there is now a danger instead of no danger. Anti-air makes such attacks risky where there was no risk prior. Israel still flagrantly attacks, even with such defenses, but they're more cautious about it. Greece would be starting a war where there was none, and US influence in Central Europe is based on US opposition to Russia...which Greece would be enabling. Greek influence would crash into the dirt precisely BECAUSE of Greek actions which enables Russia AND starts a conflict where there was none. If the US started a conflict where there was none, then you'd be correct.

@AlexA-ls4gc 1) I don't have a stake in this. There is nothing to be jealous about, especially when these countries are dirt-poor in my eyes. Beauty is subjective, and I'd much prefer having a decent lifestyle over looking good to begin with. From the video, I can only see, maximum, like 3,000 people. 2) People literally never shut up about the US despite never having been there. So I feel no need to shut up about Montenegro. Fact is; Montenegrins have NOT attempted to rejoin Serbia, and no motion has been passed to that effect. Sit down; you're talking out of what you want. Let them decide. 3) Do you seriously need videos of the protests going on? There have been back-and-forths about this stupid Serbian priest in Montenegro. @AlexA-ls4gc Dude. You're just giving me a bunch of random snippets of a poor country's life. That's not the whole picture. What is its GDP per capita? Its absolute poverty rate? Its economic prospects? Its immigration/emigration? Its happiness index? Its freedom index? Its HDI? Etc, etc. From these metrics, these STATISTICAL and SOCIETY-WIDE based metrics; these countries are poor and not really worth considering. You don't hear people dream to live in these countries. Germany? Japan? The US? Canada? Yes. Serbia? Montenegro? Pfffft no.

@AlexA-ls4gc For the record, of course these countries aren't literally "dirt poor". It's a matter of phrase. It just means "not as wealthy". I ain't implying that these countries literally have nothing but dirt. It feels like you're taking my words literally.
