  1. gov't has NOTHING to do with compensation packages, with benefits, etc. This is all a function of the market value of the labour and basic supply demand curve. Henry Ford hated unions but he was the FIRST in USA to double salaries of his workers to 5 dollars a day (25 a week, 1.25 ounces of gold at the time, no income or payroll or medicare taxes) which in today's terms would require somebody to make above 160,000USD at the minimum. Better than today's Ford workers

Your type of thinking is exactly why unemployment is rising in USA (and not the fake numbers by gov't statisticians, actual people out of work). it's because if you are stupid enough to hire an American, you lose your rights, you become both, a slave of the system and a scapegoat. Fuck that, I moved my business out and I know many other people who have done the same (and some who are now thinking about it)

  3. Forcing a private insurance company to pay for a product that it would not otherwise pay impacts everybody unlike gay marriage, which does not impact anybody except for the gays.

  4. Private insurance is PRIVATE insurance, if somebody wants to BUY an insurance product that would insure them against the cost of a sex change operation they could probably buy it. OTOH it's a pre-existing conditions, I am quite certain of that. They have to pay out of pocket.

  6. No, what is happening with all these mandates is nonsense. Gov't is not allowed to force individuals (and companies are just individuals running businesses) to provide any specific good or service to anybody or force them to associate with people they don't want for example. It's all illegal, I am not saying it's not happening.

  7. Nobody gave permission to the government to dictate to private individuals (and thus to companies) to have to deal with any specific product or service! Nobody should be forced by gov't to provide any particular product or service to any particular individual.
