FIRST: There is the Equal Pay Act of 1963. So Obama's bill was completely REDUNDANT. SECOND: Among men and among women who CHOOSE to have careers rather than opt out for taking time off for family related reasons, there is NO PAY DISPARITY for the same jobs (and again, the Equal Pay Act of 1963 makes it illegal anyway). THIRD: IF. IF. IF. it was possible to have 23% pay disparity based solely on SEX, then all employers would have enormous advantage hiring WOMEN. Men wouldn't have jobs.
