This is all because gov't propag... 'education' system has brainwashed so many people to think that Keynesian shamanism is 'economics'. The banks MUST GO UNDER. But of-course this would also take down US dollar and Bonds, they are all same debt now. It has to be done and it will not bring down the world's economy, just US financial system and it would let the interest rates go up to where businesses can get investment loans again.

@dangerouslytalented Banks would collapse in many countries, not all, but this will not destroy ECONOMIES of most countries. Economy is ability to produce and banks have little to do with productive capacity. Sure, some will be left without the needed credit for a short period of time, this WILL hit economies, but those with productive capacity will quickly recover unlike those, who have no productive capacity AND no ability to borrow when interest rates skyrocket
