@FinntegrationSociety It's been called that for ages. South Park even did an ep about it. Up until YOU get it they call it herpes, after it is just a cold sore and nothing to worry about (but really an STD in an active phase).

Since she is stuck with it for life she does not think it is a big issue for normal people. Since she has to deal with it she feels the whole globe should be exposed so she is not suffering.

"Cold sores" means herpes. She has an STD that she is 100% cool with because she is stuck with it for the rest of her life and upset the dude walked away from her due to that. 'I feel a cold sore coming on' means that it is not a passing illness but something she experiences and flares up often, which means it is the STD as normally cold sores are very rare (when not herpes).

@gm9460 It was going to become visible and she would not be able to deny it. Also her testing the waters to see if he is willing at accept her or has it himself. People with that problem pretend until it is too late and you are infected or they have 100% no ability to deny it. They will 100% infect you and not feel guilty about it or warn you.
