oh without a doubt I really do not like Japan's criminal system at all They run an inquisitive system where they take the concept of innocent until proven guilty and it's flipped on its head under the Japanese you are guilty until proven innocent And they can detain you for months without notifying you of even being formally charged for any crime

Oh no not at all one of my very first examples of the Japanese government having scandalous and corruptive behavior was the long after this one but it was when the Japanese governments did something similar to what the US did when they took in the Shah of Iran for asylum The Japanese government took in the president of Peru, president fujimori, and they refused to extradite him back to Peru so he could face all the corruption charges and extrajudicial killing charges that he was having to answer for when during his presidency and I'd still to this day do not know why the Japanese government refused to extradite him except for the fact that fujimori was himself an ethnic Japanese man born in Peru so they just used race as the singular means for defense of refusal to extradite And that is extremely corrupt and disgusting behavior and in fact it was only the border nation of Chile that actually acted upon the extradition order in 2007 and FINALLY sent the criminal president back to Peru to be prosecuted and convicted
