@blackwolf-sf1dy yeah they never made it to Africa but they sure did colonize and brutally massacre the natives in America when they got to Alaska and explorers of the Russians even pushed all the way down even into California But yeah Africa has a very short memory it's seems

@synthsun7662 Yeah they did they had colonies in California and Hawaii they were a permanent station of military forts for Imperial Russia, like Fort Ross Not to mention that they crossed the sea and colonized nearly all of Alaska through a brutal form of conquest that would rival Cortez and the Mexica

Russia right now just going to Africa and saying: "Hey guys remember that I never invaded nor colonized you, (I wanted to but I never got past Constantinople) So go ahead and support me regarding removing Ukraine from the map because even though I am also a colonizer just as much as the West, I mean I took pieces of Imperial China and I still hold them today like Vladivostok, And I even had colonies in America for 68 years through Alaska, and military forts in California and Hawaii, I never colonized you specifically So be my friend you massive UN voting block of the largest number of nations on a single continent😊"

@synthsun7662 yeah the forts in Hawaii didn't last too long, compared to the fort in California Basically Russia was asked by Kaumualiʻi to help him regain his kingdom of Kauai back from King Kamehameha the 1st and stage a rebellion as King Kamehameha was planning to conquer all the other islands and unite them into a single unified Hawaiian kingdom Yeah bet they didn't teach you about indigenous tribes killing each other either and how that unification for a single nation is always built upon blood Anyways later his son would also use attempt to use the fort to again stage a rebellion against king Kamehameha and would also fail

@AlkiA1A2 the same thing should be said about the Siberians

@AlkiA1A2 well then you must not have been paying attention when discussing Promyshlenniki and the russification attempts they facilitated at great expense to the indigenous Siberians and Alaskans. Their atrocities are well documented Try harder next time 😉

They had control over Alaska for about 65 years and even more down the Washington and Oregon coastline with forts in California and Hawaii

@blackwolf-sf1dy And yet they crossed over the sea and colonized Alaska formally in 1799 The first documented case of Russians arrived in Alaska was in 1714 and almost immediately they started causing problems with the Alaskan natives and they would decimate and subjugate them just as badly as the French the Spaniards and the British did across the rest of the Americas Russia don't get to escape the legacy of colonization on the count of a technicality for not engaging in colonizing the African continent No more so than Japan does for it's colonization of Korea, or Oman for it colonization of Kenya
