You know you've screwed up economically when even the liberal side of political news such as visual politik is criticising you

That's the issue with Career politicians This is why we need term limits in congress

Yeah the aussies pretty much side with whoever is the global dominant Naval power And as an contentinal sized island nation it makes geopolitical sense

Yeah sadly emotional thinking nearly always overpowers rational thinking

It's funny that everyone is praising biden for the reduction in gas prices now But that's only because he authorized use of the national strategic reserves to offset the lack of supply Instead of allowing more of resource exploitation like the canceling of the keystone pipeline and not allowing federal permits to be issued to extraction companies

@ilect1690 how in the world did you misread my comment thinking that pipelines are means to extract hydrocarbons? 🤦 And I know the keystone wouldn't have been finished now the point is the cancellation of it was to send a message to the oil companies and the oil industry in general That this administration does not like you and does not want you to continue to make your product in the amounts that it was making previously Again how are you misreading and misunderstanding my comments?

Can I extend a suggestion? Perhaps if you are more receptive to a nuclear industry and you use this chance to be given American Nuclear submarine secrets you might expand that idea to the Australian domestic sector, and include the idea of Nuclear electricity generation plants And greatly reduce the power and the influence China has over you all as they want your coal

No popularity ebbs and flows with current events

Well one of the benefits you have in the UK is you don't use a first-past-the-post voting system so you will never have a 2 party system as the sole government Obviously you have 2 parties that are more dominant than others Labour, Tories, but you still have other parties in the actual MP seats like the SNP for example This doesn't happen at all in the US And also you have an easier time making changes to the government than the US Because the US has a codified constitution Your system just simply allows for parliament to vote on making a change and it then it's done
