Well that is a good thing and I commend Japan for doing that Japan is also 70 years too late to this party Japan has never kept up with its military readiness and training to do an expeditionary force that would come to the defense of Taiwan on top of that Japan has barely any military industrial complex that can supply its forces meaning one or two government contractors and those government contractors are strictly limited to supply only just the Japanese forces meaning there is no competition for those contractors and therefore they have no incentive to innovate and give the Japanese soldiers and the Japanese military better equipment that has been tested by militaries around the world

@TheAbsol7448 A navy that's had no combat experience since 1940 and I'm sorry buddy but it it's not that powerful if it's not combat hardened and combat tested it's not that powerful it has a capacity to be so, the potential of the Japanese Navy to be a powerful one is there Japan has the ability to produce quality products but they are extremely expensive and it takes time and unfortunately Japan is only now shifting to militarizing themselves had a later period than when other countries around Asia have already done so

Visual politik I feel I should remind you that any form of a blockade is seen as an act of War by international law meaning no China will not blockade the Taiwanese island And expect them and the rest of the world to negotiate

@nerdlingeeksly5192 as I've said I'm glad it happened but yes sadly the Japanese will be playing second fiddle if they ever attempted to do military conflict with China

@ThatGuy-bz2in you can't do "war games" that would last for months China attempted to do these war games after Pelosi landed and they only lasted a couple days and they cost Chinese military hundreds of thousands of dollars in operating costs Sorry but no China has no ability to circumnavigate international law when it comes to attempting to blockade the Taiwanese island If they attempt to blockade Taiwan it's an act of war and then there is now justification for Japan the US and its allies to come in there and push them away and let Taiwan have its ability to open its ports once more

@bladeofmiquella1887 both Japan and China are actually an equal footing from the lack of military combat readiness And they're inability to equip their militaries because Japan has two government contractors and those government contractors are restricted to only selling to Japan the only leg up is Japan has the ability to call on allies and I've said this for the third time now I'm just pointing out limitations that Japan will have to overcome in their military why does everyone think I'm saying oh Japan is useless?

@luisgutierrez8047 I'm tired of saying the same thing that have been saying over and over again for the fourth time now in this thread so I'm not responding to any more replies but I'll sum my points up again: 1) good thing for Japan 2) a little late for Japan but better late than never 3) military forces lack combat experience 4) severely reduced military industrial complex 5) potential to gain experience but will require significant investments into military complex 6) Japan will have to rely heavily upon allies
