  1. While this is a great idea sadly not a lot of countries recognize the jurisdiction of the ICC, and that includes the United States as well as China So in essence this is kind of more symbolic gesture than a practical one

  2.  @The_Prophet...  yes but in the long term it might serve a purpose, when Putin will try to go into exile, if he ever gets removed from power, knowing that there's a warrant for his arrest will severely restrict his options Also there's supposed to be a BRICS summit in S. Africa soon, and S. Africa does recognize the jurisdiction of the ICC so if Putin decided to attend in person there's a slim chance he might face arrest but seeing the current political climate in S. Africa I doubt it
