I'll tell you Now usually when a state fails it means it means there is no central authority that can effectively govern the entirety of the nation and it has descended into factionalism Where at that point it's basically a free for all as each side fights to be the next central authority and when that happens it typically invites militant groups to participate in the conflict as well, and they don't have to be state groups either But let's say that a certain nation was fighting against a non-state militant actor and now this non state actor has moved across international borders into the current failed State and then gains rapid success in the factional infighting and is well on their way to being the next government in power if a nation that doesn't like the idea of a non state militant actor becoming a government they will likely intervene and escalate the conflict causing a runaway effect on continuous violence as there's now another new player in the free for all ring That's why nobody likes the idea of failed States and nobody especially likes failed States when they border that failed State and they will do typically anything to ensure the status quo is maintained even if the status quo is not a good one

  2. It's ironic because the pakistanis were arming all of those militants to go into Afghanistan the fight the US and now that they finished those same militants don't care about things like international borders and as you said they are entering into any Nation they deem fit
