As much as I commend the 2011 Arab spring and the brave actions of its people who were completely right to demand for better governance and not totalitarianism I sadly think it largely failed Most of the the individuals who were ousted were replaced by those who were more or less the same And I think it's because those governmental institutions of the same nations were not yet strong enough to allow for such a radical change in governing style and they collapsed once again back into corruption and incompetency

To Russia Syria was basically a Afghanistan do-over of the Russians fighting in the Western Asian nations and well...sadly it looks like they succeeded this time As Assad has largely come out on top, and he's already receiving back into the fold of many a nation in the international world stage, even amongst his fellow Western Asian nations
