Well.... the circumstances were more dire 🤔 The historical issue came with a near guarantee of death. And from that? YES! do whatever you can With our current issue and a fairly high rate of survival....it's more difficult to convince the entire population to commit to mandated sanitary practices As they view it as an attack on their personal freedoms, moreso than a means of disease/death prevention

Ehhhh.... it's pretty disingenuous to compare the current issue with that the historical one Especially since the survival rate of the historical issue was 20% Meanwhile the survival rate of our current issue is much higher around 90% It's this understanding that these individuals utilize to explain away their mistrust of a mask mandate

@antimatter4733 Allow me to be as civil as I can through text It's not not attack on you but I'm genuine curious if you have this information regarding the long-term complications of our current issue. I would very much like to read it and gain a better understanding of it You don't have to confuse me with the rest of the people you've been chatting with the comments. I've seen some of them and they are rude where it's not warranted or needed I'm more than happy to be respectful and civil, and let evidence speaks for itself rather than me speaking on behalf of the evidence But YES, the individual in the historical issue was definitely in a more dire situation regarding health than compared today as they were still learning of medical sciences NO, you don't need any % of the world population to die to effectively combat a health issue provided your measures are effective YES, people are unfortunately taking advantage of this to promote selfish political policy rather than humanitarianism. The mere fact that borders are closed across the world is without a doubt in my mind making all those individuals and policy makers who dislike migration across national borders: India - Bangladesh Haiti - Dominican Republic China - North Korea US - Mexico Mexico - Guatemala Do the crab rave dance, thanks for reading I look forward to your reply
