Canada has sadly long cozied up to the separatist movement of the Sikhs for a very long time spanning decades much to the annoyance of India Even accepting the Canadian citizenship of former violent members of the movement that had criminal pasts or suspected of such in India And this is despite Canada who once had their own separatist movement they violently had to put down, Quebec Which you don't see India trying to champion the cause of the Quebecois What India did was wrong but it does have an explanation, if only the idiotic of the Trudeau family could have recognized this fact. @bwarre2884 trust me India received a lot of condemnation from their own citizenry and abroad when they fired upon the Golden Temple of the Sikhs with military artillery And they had a race riot in the style of Rodney King afterwards where violence against Sikhs was justified in the eyes of many Indians because the Sikhs assassinated the Indian prime minister for vengeance to the Golden Temple It was a messy period and the unwanted ghosts of that sadly still haunt Indians and Sikhs to this day even though the 1980s was 50 years ago
