  2.  @Slavic_Goblin  countries that Russia considers friendly are puppet states. Any actual sovereign state would get toppled or invaded. Or interfered with. Russia doesn't respect these countries. In that kinda situation, there will be friction eventually.

  4.  @Slavic_Goblin  I read his answer. And it explained fine. You refuse to understand. Like you're seeing in real time what happened with Russia and Ukraine. I'm not sure why you're acting like Russia can do no wrong here. The choices are, be a puppet or dictatorship for the part, or get destabilized or attacked. The sole exception are people who were attacked and repelled Russia and already have western support, are rich, and powerful(or are in EU). And even they have switched to get into NATO.

  7.  @johnadam2885  independence is never conditional. And Ukraine gave Russia a naval base. Smh at your hypocrisy. If Ukraine had give the US bases, Russia wouldn't have invaded.

  8.  @johnadam2885  also none of those conditions are true. Ukraine was already independent by the budpest which Russian recognized it and agreed to never attack it. Ukraine said it didn't predict needing to join something, which has nothing to do with it's recognition. And the port was a good faith gesture that Russia used to backstab them.
