  2. You can't bring the attacking side to the table where it just wants it's win conditions. The positions aren't neutral like with Israel and Iran. One is an invader that is trying to take territory, and change the government of the other. That's why the positions can only be neutral once Russia is pushed out. That's when Russia might finally agree to stop instead of to win. Right now the only peace Russia accepts it's capitulation to it's demands. Surrender. Which would essentially be subservience.
