There is an "OLD " saying,"A tiger gripped by its ears is much more harmful than a tiger running freely in the jungle" What is the moral value of this parable? Does it create in us a sense to think about our closest surroundings and the chances are danger is nearer rather than further away;is the purpose of a lesson to realize for ourselves that tackling dangerous problems are more difficult than to let them go,if by some irrational recognition to let them go unresolved is easy but not the wisest choice ,the old saying also points out that the tiger running freely is equally dangerous, even though grabbing the tiger by its ears is a lot tougher to let go in the midst of present danger as the tiger running free is always a future threat of ambush on a path of the tigers choosing. You can think of terrorists and terrorism in the same sense of this parable, asking "What do we have by the ears, and if we can't release the beastly terrorist without being devoured knowing all the facts in a pragmatic sense, you know it is not a simple problem with a simple solution, and the terrorists rules of engagement is that there are no rules in the barbarians fight in the terrorists war game, the logical steps to avoid being devoured is to be hunter and not the hunted. We are once again at a repeat of this problem that was let go many times before only to return to threaten the region
