I lived in Milwaukee in ‘18 and ‘20 elections. In ‘18 I remember talking to a local news agency and they assumed everyone in Milwaukee was voting democrat, they were actually shocked when I said I wasn’t sure who I was voting for yet. It’s very very far left. In 2020 on Election Day I remember seeing billboards begging black men specifically not to vote for Trump. But you have to remember this is also the state that had very blatant voter manipulation (they misprinted absentee ballots in ‘18 that caused thousands to be unreadable, in 2020 they were caught unregistering Trump voters and the vote totals changed widely when they got called out, and they also openly ignored signature match verification in only two counties, something that led to a SCOTUS case in 2000).

Like an authoritarian regime is thrusting a candidate in their face that they didn’t get a chance to choose. Feel like there was a name for that.

I always write in Tarl Warwick for a least one position. It lets me know if my vote got counted. Actually helped in 2020 when my precinct originally said there were no write ins for that particular office, I called them out on it, and they ended up finding about 1700 Trump votes hiding under a desk or some thing.

The danger with sending them to swing states is that it could just breed contempt for Texas and republicans rather than pushing them to recognize the issue. Most people in those areas know it’s an issue already and the majority aren’t in favor of the far left policies. What sending them to Atlanta, Chicago and NYC does is really hurt the black vote in those areas and is probably really digging at the democrat support in those areas more than you think. They may not win those states, but people in those areas talk and complain. Pushing them to Minnesota may be a good call, it already has a far left bent in the twin cities, it’s a big sanctuary and is already very friendly toward the Spanish community. They won’t change their mind, but it would certainly decrease the migrants wanting to come if there is a 20% chance they end up in -30 degree blizzard with 8ft of snow.

I think the prosecution of Trump on very difficult to understand issues is really hurting the democrats. They’re saying he’s over valuing his properties but most people say that’s the banks job not his, there’s minutia in the rico case and most don’t even know what they’re talking about because they banned all the talk about the GA election immediately. People see it as an attack and they just want to know what you’ll do to help them not get rid of the “great threat to democracy” that actually seemed to give a damn about the state of the nation.

Joe has a lot of resentment and likely will have low voter turnout to start with, even the orange man bad line has kinda died as people see more authoritarian measures under Biden than they did under Trump.
