  1. The gun crime stats in the US are heavily inflated by suicide and gang violence. Gang violence exists everywhere but it’s particularly bad in certain parts of the US due to cultural differences (typically conflicting gangs fighting over drug selling territory). When all you see is one side of the US violence stats because that is what makes the news elsewhere it’s easy to understand why you may not realize how minuscule it actually is. It’s like saying if you go to Australia you’ll encounter some deadly bug and it will kill you instantly. Does it statistically happen more in Australia - maybe, but that’s because it’s where there are deadly bugs.

  4. Yeah Wendy’s was Georgia. They did it in front of the police station, a target and I believe a car dealership in Kenosha so it wasn’t a one time thing.

I guess there was an Irish woman who was the first to try to stop him and got stabbed herself, then two Irish guys managed to tackle him only afterwards the Brazilian hit him over the head with the helmet and grabbed the knife away from him. Odd that only one of these people is being mentioned.

  6. I think the report was at one Dublin hospital and was probably more an off handed comment. I’ve heard the same thing about a half dozen places and none of them seem to be true.

  7. There was a white kid in Ohio who was killed at the LeBron James school last year. Two black brothers beat him to death. One was found guilty of the beating but hung jury on if the beating caused his death (despite that being the only possible cause of death) and the other was found not guilty despite being just as involved in the attack. It was pretty clear jury nullification.

  10. Because they’re a very racist people. Not making a joke of it. People who are half Japanese are actually considered second class citizens. Saw an interview with a guy whose grandparents move to Japan 50 years ago. Both his parents were born there (English grandparents) and he was born and raised there and spoke English just because he was forced to go to school in England. He still considered himself a foreigner and was not accepted by people who were racially Japanese often being turned down for things because they didn’t see him as native.
