  1. My brother in law makes 100k plus and is getting the rest of his loan paid. He's had 10 years to pay off 10k but has refused. Instead he went on international trips, bought a fully loaded new truck and a house. He still has tens of thousands in debt but refuses to pay any of it.

  2. Next year college tuition will go up by 10k and loan companies will have clauses not allowing early debt pay off without penalty.

  3. Unfortunately it won't work. The loan collection companies already made the same argument and were told people can already pay off loans early do the revenue made from loan interest cannot be seen as lost income. Now student loans won't be able to be paid off early and will likely have terms that will penalize people for doing so. Thanks Brandon.

  4. I hate being a responsible adult - putting off getting married, buying a house buying a car etc until my loans were all paid off or were well on their way. I'm 34, paid them off 3 years ago, after being out of school for 3 years since i went to grad school.
