  1. In the US Civil War Gen. Sherman and his march to the sea destroyed everything in his path. They destroyed homes, farms, crops, livestock , rail lines, etc. Sherman called it " Scorched Earth." Meaning he left nothing for the enemy, nothing. Israel is doing the same thing.
