It doesn't matter what Jeremy says. What matters is what can be proven in court. That's why these contracts are written this way. It could be argued that "in perpetuity" means DW owns all Crowder's content, even after he leaves.

Rekieta and Barnes went over the whole contract last night and I gotta say, I'm on Crowder's side now.

@bennywolfe4357 according to 2 very smart lawyers, that's exactly what it says. But you're right. I haven't read the terms. But I did watch Rekieta and Barnes talk about it and explain the details from a legal perspective. Which is the only perspective that actually matters.

@bennywolfe4357 where it says, "in perpetuity".

@bennywolfe4357 I don't have to read the rest of the sentence because "in perpetuity" is the part that anyone has an issue with. The meet fact that you and I are arguing over this part of the sentence proves my point. If either the DW or Crowder took the other one to court, this would be the part of the sentence that would be argued over. Then it would be up to a judge to decide which party is correct. This is the whole issue. Whether or not Crowder would get to keep the content that was created long before the DW got involved. I'm guessing you're probably not a lawyer, nor have you ever negotiated a contract. I'm not a lawyer nor have I negotiated a contract like this before, either. But I tend to believe the lawyers who explain how the legal system works. Besides, I don't care about this situation, even a tiny bit. Idk why you can't admit that you're wrong
