  1. Because trump was promised the evangelical vote (a HUGE bloc) if he would promise to appoint Supreme Court justices who would overturn Roe. And that’s how he got elected (and with the help of Mitch McConnell and the Electoral College and with [this part is just my opinion/suspician] that the last Supreme Court justice to retire [wasn’t that Kennedy?] decided to retire at that most “convenient” time). It’s the same as how Nixon won with the Southern Strategy. I hope that sentence wasn’t too rambling or run-on, but I was trying to get all my thoughts down at once in some kind of understandable way.
