  7. ⁠ @Skedawg88  That’s because the Heritage Foundation (the people who wrote Project 2025) also wrote a similar project for Reagan in 1981, and Reagan adopted about 80% of it. (This information was learned right here on a Thom Hartmann video not too long ago). It was less radical then, because those were different times, but now they’re feeling emboldened to go all the way with their plans. They also wanted, under Reagan, to make big cuts to the Department of Education, which Reagan did, and which started what we now call “the dumbing down of America”, because they have always known that the less educated people are, the more easily the can be manipulated, and that has worked perfectly for them as trump has been elected twice (although it’s starting to come out how this election was rigged), and why trump said, “I love the poorly educated”. And now they want to eliminate the Department of Education entirely.

  9.  @barbarascott5794  I don’t think they’ll “hire” the working class for that; I think they’ll force the working class to do it. It might look like they’re paying them because they’re likely to say you don’t have to do it, but you won’t get any paycheck if you don’t. Same thing. Just like I’ve been saying all along: these people would bring back slavery if they thought they could get away with it. They’re already trying to make women essentially slaves to their husbands by saying they want to take away no-fault marriage, and they want to make contraceptives illegal again. Some are even wanting to take away women’s right to vote. (See Joel Webbon, a pastor, of course, on a YT video).

Imagine millions upon millions of gray-haired, bald elders in the streets every day in every city of every state, many with canes, walkers and wheelchairs, for prolonged periods. It won’t be a good look for the administration. I know I’ll be there.

  14.  @charlottesmom  Yeah, and I think we old people will, literally, “loose” something on the administration, our anger and our voices. Were from the generation that held marches against the Vietnam War, for Civil Rights and for Women’s Rights, after all.
