I don’t know how or why it would be easy for anyone to preach against it when every girl and woman deserves the healthcare she needs. And, just because it’s against SOME person’s religious beliefs, our government is not supposed to bow to anyone religious tenets, or make laws concerning them. That’s why it’s called Separation of Church and State. Some religions, like Judaism, actually believe that the living woman’s life takes precedence over an unborn baby (or fetus), because there is never any guarantee the baby will be born alive or healthy, wheareas she (the woman) already has a life. I believe abortion should be legal, safe, and as often as necessary.

Here’s something else to consider: I’ve seen at least two reports that said both maternal mortality and infant mortality rates are going up in red states since Roe v. Wade was overturned. That means that women ARE dying because they can’t get the healthcare they need. But we’ll probably never see the names or photos of the women who have died unless a husband or family member of one or, preferably, several of these women release them to the public. If you want to know why, Google the name of Savita Halappanaver (in Ireland) to see what the reaction of the Irish people was, and what the government did because of it. I think they don’t want that to happen here. (You’ll have to read between the lines in my comment because every time I write out what happened, my comment gets removed). So, if you know of a woman who died this way, talk to her husband or family member. I will promise to carry posters, and talk to everyone I know.

And, to the Ladies, PLEASE don’t EVER use a menstrual tracking app on your phone or other electronic device. Those companies are already agreeing to sell your information to law enforcement agencies. Use an old-fashioned paper calendar, and even then, use a totally innocuous code or symbol to represent your time.

While, as a feminist I would love to agree with you wholeheartedly, please tell me exactly where and how ladies have “rights and freedoms of their own”, because the Equal Rights Amendment has never been put into the U.S. Constitution. It has passed through Congress a couple of times, and in 2020 it was ratified by the 38th state required for inclusion in the Constitution (Virginia) but each and every time, it has been shut down and tossed aside because of some little legal detail by Congress. And in 2020, after Virginia became the 38th state to ratify it, Congress (particularly Mitt Romney) shot it down even though the Constitution itself says that after the 38th state ratifies an Amendment, Congress’ job is done and it must go directly into the Constitution. That’s how much they hate women and don’t want us to have rights and freedoms.

@dominicfucinari1942 I’m not familiar with Randall Terry (who is he?), but Mitt Romney and a congressman from, I believe, Ohio formed a two-man “smashing campaign” against adding the ERA because of a 10-year deadline, which had been added regarding the state’s ratifications, but it was not part of the main text of the amendment, just an add-on to pull out and use against it later if they could, just like in a case like this. And, as I stated, it’s clearly written in the Constitution that once the 38th state has ratified, Congress has NOTHING to do with it anymore, and the Amendment is supposed to go directly into the Constitution, end of story. Before that, trump called Bill Barr to tell him he didn’t want it put in (of course!), and it seems Bill Barr called Mitt Romney, and he and the other Congressman killed it. If I remember correctly, Joe Biden was also there, and I think it was also to help kill it. After that, a women’s group (Equal Means Equal) took it to the Supreme Court, and, of course they also shot it down, on the basis that the group didn’t have “standing”, which I don’t understand. I know how standing works because I looked it up, and it’s when someone brings a suit that really isn’t in the personal interest of the person or persons bringing the suit. But I’ve never had anybody explain to me how a group of women which exists solely to try to get the ERA put into the Constitution are not personally affected by getting it in there! As individual women they will be personally affected by that action, and as a group for that purpose they will be personally affected. Can you explain that to me? But this just shows how much they do not want women to have equal rights. Period.

Not for them. They don’t care about the girl, just like they don’t care about the life of a woman who’s fetus has died and, if not removed will cause bodywide infection and kill her. You have to get to the point where you realize THEY DON’T CARE. All they care about is making and enforcing the rules. Nothing else matters to them. They are heartless despots.

@LiRoSo123 And it’s punishment for breaking “rules” that they, themselves, make up based on their own concept of “Christian morality” (ignoring that Separation of Church and State thing). They want to punish young women and girls for not being “pure” when the majority of abortions are done because of fetal unviability or maternal health complications. Or at least that’s their “stated” reason, when in actuality, they’re so afraid that People of Color will outnumber white people in the U.S. in a few years, and they want to also make sure they have enough workers in the future now that population growth has stopped and is going down.
