@dakotadak100 That’s highly misleading. Millions of elderly in the U.S. would be living on the streets if not for Social Security. I would be one of them if anything happened to my husband. And if the GOP destroys it like they want, that’s exactly what will happen. And you’re commenting to a person who actually lives better with government healthcare, as if you know more about his system than he does?

@yvonneplant9434 I didn’t feel like he was gloating at all. I felt like he’s (and others in other countries with universal healthcare) are letting us know what we in the U.S. COULD have IF our government would ever actually give enough of a sh*t about its citizens to give us that and treat us like real human beings instead of subservient worker dogs. Perhaps you don’t care now that our government takes so much of our earned income and gives it to wealthy people who will buy another home, plane or yacht with it, but if you ever face a real health emergency, or you get old, you will definitely find out. Are you aware that the #1 cause of homelessness in the U.S. is the inability to pay for exorbitant medical bills? They lose their homes because the insurance companies will take your last dime to pay for usually unplanned medical emergencies.

I did and I love it. It’s expensive, though, but so, so incredibly beautiful. And you will NEVER miss the snow! It’s getting really hot in the summer, but, overall, the weather is the best in the country. (I’m in Southern CA, which is much warmer than most of Northern CA).
